Bromborough Paints

In 1948 Harry Wellings established Bromborough Paints, selling paint and wallcoverings from a modest local corner shop based on the Wirral and through his sheer hard work and determination the business was able to grow and mature.  Over the years, the company has gone from strength to strength to become the largest independent decorators merchant in the North West. 

Bromborough Paints supplies professional decorators and the DIY enthusiast with all the major brands, from wallpapers and paints, to stylish accessories and woodcare products, making it the first choice when it comes to decorating supplies. 

The company now has 17 branches throughout the North West covering areas from Shrewsbury in the West Midlands, to Carlisle on the Scottish border.  Recent investment has included expanding and improving existing branches in Kendal, Northwich and Chester and opening branches in Cheadle Hulme, Trafford Park, Wigan, Carlisle and Stoke.

Bromborough Paints is still a family owned business and is now run by Harry’s son Neville Wellings, only the second Managing Director in its long history!
